Thanks to you hunters who leased horses from us during the 2011 season, we have been very successful and are already getting requests for horses this year!!  For horses leased in 2011, for Archery, Muzzle loading, and/or Rifle seasons for elk and deer.

2012 Colorado Big Game Hunting Dates

Prices will be based on the following schedule:

Mt Prnceton Stables Horse Leasing Prices

• 1-2 horses with or without tack $450.00 per horse per season

• 3 or more horses with or without tack $425.00 per horse per season

• 1-9 horses for multiple rifle seasons $575.00 per horse

• 10 or more horses for multiple rifle seasons $550.00 per horse

• Horses for Archery/Muzzleloading + rifle season $625.00 per horse

• Please note: Call ahead and reserve your weed free hay and get prices on hay pellets and grain.

Delivery charges will be incurred by the person leasing the horses at the rate of $2.00 per loaded mile. We do have trailers for rent.

TACK INCLUDES:

Western saddle, bridle and breast collar, halter and lead rope, 2 saddle blankets, brush and curry comb.

DEPOSIT:

A safety deposit of $300.00 per horse is required for every horse leased. This refundable deposit will be returned after the hunting seasons (approximately the 1st week in December.)  If you leave your horses unattended, you automatically forfeit your deposit.

PRIOR TO THE SEASON YOU ARE HUNTING.

The busy days for delivery and pick-up will be before 1st season and of course, between seasons.  We will not guarantee delivery before 11:00am.  If you want your horses delivered before 11:00am, you should order them for the previous day.  These requests will be granted on a first come first serve basis.  It should be remembered that even the best delivery plans sometimes go bad due to adverse weather conditions or breakdowns in equipment.  If we are late with your delivery, please try to understand.

If you want to reserve horses, mail your signed contract with your deposit to the above address.  Your horses will not be reserved until your signed contract and deposit are in our office.  No reservations will be made by phone.  If for any reason you should cancel your reservation, your deposit will not be refunded.  Remember, the deposit is separate and added to the total amount due for leasing your hunting horses.

Unless payment is received in full prior to the season you are hunting, we will not be able to hold your horses.

Please note:  We have had a problem in the past with the horse losing weight while in the possession of hunters.  We will provide ALL feed and instructions for feeding the horses, lessors will pay all expenses for feed to the lessee.  There will no longer be an option for individual hunters to provide their own feed
